Due to pilgrimage, development, and tourism culture, luxury hotels are large in numbers in Saudi Arabia and the innovation of green practices is required to be adopted. The study's purpose is to determine the green creativity (GC) among luxury hotels in Saudi Arabia concerning the role of green organizational culture, self-efficacy, environmental orientation, and green work engagement (GWE). 316 responses from luxury hotel employees are considered the final sample size of this research and structural equation modeling is used for data analysis. The research demonstrated that the mediating role of GWE is significant between industry macro culture (IMC), cultural fragmentation, green self-efficacy, internal environmental orientation (IEO), external environmental orientation (EEO), and GC. This study has developed a unique model new in the literature. The dimensions of GC developed in this research model weren’t reported in the models of previous research works. Furthermore, the GC -related theoretical implications of this research are reliable to improve the body of knowledge in a significant way. Furthermore, the findings of this research are practicable to improve GC among luxury hotels in Saudi Arabia.Muhammad Awais Bhatti (Department of Management, College of Business Administration, King Faisal University)Includes bibliographical references

We modeled the relationship between entrepreneurship intention and five other variables, including two as formative second order constructs. We therefore, employed the use of SmartPLS (2.0) to analyze the influence of perceived effective entrepreneurship education, perceived University support, perceived creativity disposition, entrepreneurial passion for inventing and entrepreneurial passion for founding on entrepreneurial intention. The PLS was readily employed in this study for its ability to estimate a formative measured variable. The first-order reflective and second-order formative variables model parameters were estimated by employing the two-stage approach.Using a sample of 595 students from three Federal Universities in Northern Nigeria, the study found a significant positive relationship between perception of University support, perceived creativity disposition, entrepreneurial passion for inventing, entrepreneurial passion for founding and entrepreneurial intention. However, an unexpectedly significant negative relationship was found between perceived effective entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Implications for the findings are provided

The purpose of this study is to explore the mediating role of customer satisfaction between service quality dimensions and customer loyalty in Malaysian Islamic insurance sector. Based on the literature, six service quality dimensions were used to develop theoretical understanding about customer satisfaction and loyalty. This study proposes and tests a framework via structural equation modeling (Amos-16). The results of the analysis indicated that four of six service quality dimensions (tangible, responsiveness, fairness, and reliability) positively influence customer satisfaction which further influences customer loyalty. In other words, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between four of six service quality dimensions (tangible, responsiveness, fairness, and reliability) and customer loyalty. Only two service quality dimensions (assurance and empathy) were not significantly related with customer satisfaction and loyalty. The findings further suggest that fairness have strongest effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty. The result of the study will help the managers and professionals to better understand how customer perceive service quality dimension and how these service quality dimensions are important for customers as well as for the organization. The study tested the impact of service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and found that tangibility, responsiveness, reliability, and fairness positively influence customer satisfaction. Therefore, the result of the study will help managers and professionals about how to deal with the customers to maximize the organizational profit. The result of the study suggested that fairness have strong influence on customer satisfactions and managers should pay attention on the fairness to improve service quality and maximize the customer satisfaction. As per our best knowledge, the suggested model and Islamic insurance sector have never been investigated before. (Abstract by authors

IMPACT OF INTELLIGENT INVENTORY SYSTEM ON IMPROVEMENT OF REVERSE LOGISTICS: A CASE OF SAUDI MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

    Get PDF
The Saudi manufacturing industry is undergoing rapid change, and its practitioners are employing technology-driven process management solutions. Recent research has focused on constructing an efficient and sustainable reverse logistics supply chain, particularly in light of the two-year supply chain disruption caused by the pandemic. However, reverse logistics involves numerous stakeholders and intricate processes, making managing and guaranteeing customer satisfaction challenging. To address these issues, researchers advocate implementing artificial intelligence-based inventory management systems, which are more automated and enable adaptable supply chain management. This study adopted a semi-structured interview approach to collect data from 5 experts in the field to investigate the impact of intelligent inventory systems on reverse logistics in the Saudi Arabian manufacturing industry. The study's findings indicate that reverse logistics faces several challenges; however, using an intelligent inventory system improves the operational and warehousing activity of the reverse logistics system and encourages adequate resource replacement in the event of resource unavailability. In addition to the limitations of the researcher, several theoretical and practical implications of this study have been outline

The expatriate literature has highlighted many individual and organizational factors which effect expatriate job performance and adjustment but the role of some individual and organizational factors is still not clear and/or has been ignored by past researchers. For example, the role of direct and indirect support has not been well conceptualized in past studies. In addition, only a few studies have explained the importance of self-efficacy, cultural sensitivity and social networking in the related expatriate literature.Furthermore, the role of previous international experience has conflicting results in past research. The purpose of this paper is to provide a theoretical grounding and highlight the importance of those individual and organizational factors which have been ignored by past researchers. In this regard, researchers have reviewed journals/articles from different databases, books, and magazines. This paper proposes a comprehensive framework based on the gaps in the literature and suggests propositions. The proposed conceptual framework provides a theoretical grounding for individual and organizational factors that includes individual factors (self efficacy, previous international experience, cultural sensitivity, and social network) and organizational factors (direct and indirect support). This paper suggests that expatriate adjustment (work, general, and interaction adjustment) mediates the relationship between individual factors (self-efficacy, previous international experience, cultural sensitivity, and social network), organizational factors (direct and indirect support),and expatriate job performance (rated by peer and supervisor). The proposed framework is developed based on past theoretical and empirical studies in order to cover the gap and contribute to the body of knowledge in the field of the literature. Based on the proposed framework, this paper invites researchers to empirically test the suggested propositions in order to further strengthen and develop understanding about individual and organizational factors as predictors of expatriate adjustment and job performance
